Yay! It’s cocktail season!
Wait… aren’t all seasons cocktail season? They are in my book.
Ever since starting this blog I have really begun branching out and testing the limits of my culinary and cocktail making skills.
Before I used to just make super simple stuff like vodka tonic, or vodka soda, or vodka bloody Mary.
haha do we see a trend here? Apparently I love me some vodka.
But I also love me some champagne and have never really thought that you could do much with it besides make a mimosa. Yeah, that’s wrong thinking. Champagne (or sparkling wine) is just as versatile as any other liquor.
But then, you see, when you start making fun drinks for the blog you have to time them right to bring to a friends house, or for when friends come over because if not then you’re left with a huge gallon of sparkling blackberry punch to drink all by yourself.
Which, I’m not saying is a bad thing… but you want to share with the world, not just yourself. Then by doing that your friends start requesting you to bring fun drinks all the time.
It’s a vicious cycle.
But this drink was a hit with my hubby and I. Nope, we didn’t have a fun party for Christmas or have anything planned for New Year coming up. Just the two of us enjoying our giant gallon of sparkling blackberry punch.
But I love champagne and the hubby loves Grand Marnier… so it worked out.
