Meet Jenn!

Packing List: Dallas in January

Hi! I'm Jenn

and I’m super excited you decided to stop by my little corner of blogland.

JenniferMeyering.com is where I share the real-life projects and tried-and-true recipes that keep my family of six running.

Whether you’re looking for a DIY project that actually works or a recipe that’s been kid-tested and approved, I’m here to help you make the most of every day without the stress.

a little about me

First Family Dinner of 2020

01

I was born in Michigan but grew up on the beautiful beaches of the sunshine state, aka, Florida. I moved back to Michigan in 2009 and lived there for 6 years before moving again and finally (hopefully) settling down in Fort Worth, TX.

02

I’ve lived in 5 different states in my short life… Florida, Arizona, South Carolina, Michigan, and finally Texas. All because I met my amazing husband while attending school for Nuclear Medicine and a few years into our relationship he decided to go to medical school.

03

The hubby and I been together for more than 20+ years, married for 14, and have 4 children a couple corgis and a couple cats.

04

We have a family of 6 and I also grew up in a family of 6. I have 2 sisters and a brother – of which I am the oldest – and they both still live in Florida.

05

I’m a huge procrastinator, slight perfectionist, spur-of-the-moment decision maker, and outgoing-introvert. I also love being outdoors and you can catch me at the beach just about any day it is sunny and warm out.

06

I feel like I’ve been in school all my life… and I have three degrees to prove it! Even though I’ve traded the classroom for the studio, I’m still a professional ‘student’ at heart—always researching, testing, and learning new ways to make our home life better.

07

I’ve always had a camera in my hand. What started as a way to document our family’s moves across five states turned into a professional career in photography. I love that this blog gives me a place to capture both the ‘perfect’ professional shots and the real, messy moments in between.

08

I’m a firm believer that you don’t need a massive budget or a professional kitchen to create a beautiful life. My goal here is to share the projects and recipes that actually work for a busy family of six—no fluff, just the good stuff.
