Smoothies are my jam! I mean, if you couldn’t tell by the abundantly large amount of smoothie posts. And of course now that it is January 2016, everyone is looking to start a new eating habit and get more healthy foods into their diet… including me.

I workout almost everyday, but it’s the eating that I really have a problem with and I know is the reason that I do not hit my goals as quickly as I would like. So of course, this year I have set a healthy eating resolution instead of a losing weight resolution.

Anyway, it’s super easy for me to drink smoothies because I have been drinking them every morning or afternoon for about 5 years now. It’s really on rare occasions that I don’t have some kind of smoothie or protein shake in a day.

This Blue-Cran Smoothie was the perfect answer and was sweet and tangy all at the same time.

I really enjoy tangy, sweet, and sour things.. but most of the time they come in candy form. Which I tend to stay away from. Unless it’s a chocolate bar. Girl’s gotta have a chocolate bar every once in awhile.

But to tame my sweet and tangy tooth, this is my go to since it’s packed with protein and much healthier for you than a box of sour patch kids.

How to Make this Recipe

Gather all your ingredients: vanilla Greek yogurt, blueberries, cranberry juice, stevia, and ice.

Place them in a blender in the following order: yogurt, cranberry juice, blueberries, stevia, and ice. This order helps the blender process the ingredients more efficiently.

Blend on high until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of water or more cranberry juice. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.

Pour into a glass, serve immediately, and enjoy!

Cooking Tips & Tricks

  • Ingredient Quality: Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. If using frozen blueberries, ensure they are unsweetened to avoid altering the taste.

  • Adjusting Sweetness: Taste the smoothie before serving and adjust the sweetness by adding more stevia or your preferred sweetener.
