It’s almost the weekend and I’m bringing you another fun, fall inspired cocktail to try! I’ve been getting more and more into gin and realizing that gin is not as bad as I remember when I was younger.
It’s definitely because I was drinking the wrong kind of gin and probably also in all the wrong kinds of ways.
Now, since I’ve grown and developed a better pallet, gin has become a staple in my liquor cabinet unlike before. There are a couple brands that I continually go back to but am definitely willing to try others.
This pomegranate gimlet is a delicious and simple cocktail made with fresh squeezed lime juice, some pomegranate juice and then a generous pour of gin.
This is also a recipe that makes about 6 cocktails so it’s for sure worth sharing with friends and family this Thanksgiving – if you’re having friends or family over this Thanksgiving.
Start by getting a medium-ish pitcher and adding your gin, pomegranate juice, lime juice and some simple syrup for sweetness. Stir together well to combine.
The level of simple syrup you add to the drink is definitely personal preference and you can add more or less that what it calls for. Give it a quick taste before adding all the simple syrup and then again after to make sure it’s to your liking.
Distribute evenly among frozen gimlet glasses or a stemless wine glass with one large ice cube in it. You don’t want to much ice or it will melt quickly and water own the drink.
Garnish with a lime wheel and some added pomegranate arils then serve and enjoy!
