After celebrating my 40th birthday with a fantastic trip to Napa, we were ready for our next adventure—this time, a family spring break in Florida. With my family based in the Sunshine State and Stefan’s enthusiasm for taking the kids to Disney, the decision to spend our spring break in Florida was an easy one.
March is one of my favorite times to visit; the crowds are usually lighter, and the weather is just perfect—warm but not too hot, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to the low 80s.

We kicked off our trip with a couple of days in Orlando, where we spent time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, eager to experience the new Star Wars rides, followed by a day at Universal Studios.
The second half of our vacation was all about relaxation, as we headed to Cocoa Beach to unwind with my brother and his family. It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, making for an unforgettable spring break.
Tuesday: Travel Day
First day is always a travel day and we had early flights that morning. I dressed in my usual sweat pants and a tank with a jean jacket for the plane. We had plans to go visit my sister right after landing and changing the sweatpants for shorts was an easy swap once we got there.

Tuesday: Beach Day
My sister works at the beach so we knew the kids would have fun while the adults had some time to themselves if we went to visit her. I just swapped out my sweatpants I wore on the cold plane for shorts.

Wednesday
Wednesday was another semi-travel day. We drove from Tampa to Orlando this day so I just re-wore my sweats with a different color tank top. Once we got to Orlando and the Airbnb we rented, we just chilled for the evening.
Thursday: Disney Day
Knowing it was going to be hot while at the park, I knew shorts were the only way to go. Paired with my favorite tans from Target and we’re good to go. This fanny pack bag was also perfect and I didn’t have to take it off for any of the rides.

Friday: Universal Day
Another day that absolutely called for shorts and a tank top with comfy walking shoes. We spent all day at Universal Studios and City Walk for dinner.

Saturday: Beach Day
We were checking out of the Airbnb this day and heading over to Cocoa Beach to meet my brother and his family for the rest of the weekend. He lives just south of Cocoa Beach so it was the perfect spot for us to get a hotel and chill for the rest of the vacation.

Sunday: Beach Day
Our last full day here and we drove down to Satellite Beach where my brother is, to spend the day with him there. Then we went back to his house after a full day on the beach and he made us dinner. It was the perfect ending to a great vacation.

Monday: Travel Day
Heading to the airport and heading home. Decided that baggy jeans and an oversized sweater would do the trick for the 1 hour ride to the airport then while on the plane. We had an amazing spring break and I cannot wait to do it all over again next year!

Full Packing List:
Having an itinerary for the trip really helps me plan on what to wear because I already know what were doing during the day. On trips like this where I see my family and go do fun things with the kiddos, I pack light and easy to move in clothing. Now, I’m not much of a dress girlie, but if I was I would have packed a few.
