Happy Friday from New York, lovelies! The hubby and I just got back to the hotel after a whirlwind day of traveling and are just sitting watching a little TV before turning in for the night.
I know, we’re so lame. Haha! I don’t know what it is about travel days but they always make me super tired no matter what time of day it is. Plus, I’m getting old so going “out on the town” just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. I would rather have a great dinner, couple of drinks, then snuggle in bed.
Also, we have the next 5 days and night in New York to explore, see all the sights, and do all the things.
Well, I do at least. The hubby has a conference to attend – and the reason that we are even here in the first place. However, the conference doesn’t start until Sunday so we have the day tomorrow to go do some stuff together before I’m on my own during the day for the rest of the trip.
I think we’re going to head to the Brooklyn Bridge tomorrow and the 9/11 memorial. Two of the top things on my list so I’m glad we will get to do them together instead of me alone.
I’m also super glad I checked the weather before we left and packed accordingly and wore the prefect outfit. It was warm and sunny when we left Dallas but 40 and raining here. These boots that my sister got me for Christmas are the perfect cold weather, rainy boot. They are waterproof and they literally feel like I’m walking on a cloud they are so comfortable. And of course cute.
So I basically built this outfit and a few others on this trip around these boots. Today I paired them with some black jeans from Abercrombie and this charcoal grey tunic from H&M. I brought my jacket with me on the plane so I could put it on as soon as we landed.
And yes, I packed everything for 5 days in New York in the carryon bag you see there – 3 pairs of shoes, toiletries, pajamas, and 12 different outfits (not that I needed 12 different outfits but that’s how many I can make with the pieces I brought – blog post coming soon for that!)
Have a good night! I’ll have another outfit post for you tomorrow!
