Our first day in Dallas was such a whirlwind… as soon as we landed we went to lunch together then met our realtor to tour a couple houses. I really wanted to make the most of our time while there because the hubby probably won’t get this much time off again soon.
I had her setup about 20-ish house showings for the week and we were off to the races as soon as we landed. We looked at 4 houses yesterday and only 1 of them I could see our family living in. The only problem… it’s a little farther from the hubby’s job than we want.
Anyway, Tuesday we had 5 more showings and so I knew I needed to dress cute but still casual since we would be in and out of the car and houses. And also talking to selling realtors.
I decided that white jeans, a simple tee, and light cardigan would do the trick. This is the basic formula I used for the whole trip since it’s just so easy. Also, I like to try and keep it to 1-2 pairs of jeans for the whole trip and need to mix and match to those jeans.
These jeans are the Jessica Simpson ones that I scored from Costco a few months ago. They are nice and stretchy and not see-through at all, which I love. They are the perfect length too – being an ankle pant – and I like to roll them just once to give it a more crop feel.
The cardi is one of my favs from Old Navy that unfortunately they don’t sell anymore but they still have a ton of cute ones. Old Navy has become my go-to for cute, soft cardi’s.
The pretty blush pink top is from Express and has tunic length so I could wear it with leggings if I wanted. It’s part of their one eleven collection. That collection seriously has the best basics.
Finally these shoes are a new purchase and I absolutely love them. They are Dr. Scholl’s and so squishy and cloud feeling while walking. I actually have about 4 different pair of this style Dr. Scholl’s slip-on they are that good. I have the color “greige” and they are more of a very light grey than they are a beige. I also love the platform height… I feel like it gives just the right amount of lift without being too huge. They have quickly become a new favorite.
Cheers to day 2 of house hunting!
