Heading Back to Dallas

Travel days call for cute but comfy style knowing that I usually have things to do as soon as we land and I don't want to take the time to change.

Last week we went back to Dallas to do some house shopping. While I was there I took photos of my outfits and this week I’m going to share them all with you. I had planned on sharing them the same day but we were just so busy and exhausted by the end of the day that I just didn’t feel like getting on the computer and editing then posting.

Here we are, just a week behind with sharing, so I’m dedicating this week as fashion week. Haha!

Day 1 was a travel day and no matter what time of the day I plan the flight I always feel extra exhausted by the end of the day. However, I also try and wear something semi-cute on the plane knowing that we usually have things to do as soon as we land. As was the case this time.

Since it was so cold in Michigan and Chicago before we left, I wore skinny jeans and boots with a popcorn sweater and my new Loft coat that I love so much. The coat kept me super warm while heading to the airport and I just kept it off once we landed because it was much warmer in Dallas.

These skinny jeans are my absolute favorite because they are oh so stretchy and also have an elastic band sewn into the waist to help suck you in. They are literally the best jeans on the planet – I find mine at TJ Maxx but you can also get them at Nordstrom Rack. Needless to say, since they are my favorite, I always look for a different pair when I head to TJ.

This sweater was also a TJ find and it’s just so soft and cozy. It kept me perfectly warm while in Michigan but also cool enough for the Dallas weather that I wasn’t sweating my booty off.

Finally my favorite boots ever – you’ve seen them here, here, and here for just a few other examples – and I actually got them on clearance last year but Target brought them back this year and I was super excited about that. They do run small so size up 1/2 size – but they are the most comfortable heeled boots that I own.

Anyway, cheers to fashion week! See you tomorrow!
