Happy Saturday after Thanksgiving, ya’ll! How was your Turkey Day?
Ours was good. It was just our family this year so I didn’t go too crazy with what we made and also didn’t make huge portions like I usually do. I did beer brine the turkey this year, which is a first for me, and it turned out amazing and the juiciest turkey that I have ever had. I will definitely be making it again and sharing the recipe with you guys.
We actually have another turkey in the freezer because they gave the hubby 2 free ones at his work. I also made mashed potatoes, boozy cranberry sauce, my grandma’s stuffing, green beans and mushrooms, and a warm brussels sprout and bacon side.
No one in my family ate the brussels sprout salad but me… haha! I love brussels sprouts and no one else does. More for me!
Anyway, this is not actually what I wore to thanksgiving. Since we just stayed home, I was in my pajamas all day but this is one of the outfits I wore to Michigan at the beginning of the month. I had to go up there to take care of some family business for a few days.
This balloon sleeve sweater is new from Abercrombie and is oh so soft. The balloon sleeves add a nice touch and it has a more open knit so it keeps you warm but not too hot. It was perfect for the cold days we had while there.
Paired it with some dark wash skinny jeans and my brown boots from Target that I scored a couple years ago on clearance for like $8! They have brought them back every year so far and I highly recommend anyone grab them when you can. They are my most worn and most comfortable boots to date. I want to get them in black too!
