Today I wanted to share with you my favorite guacamole recipe.
This is the recipe I use just about evey time I make guacamole… which is quite often because I love avocados.
I’m the one that can each an entire avocado straight from out of the skin with a spoon, that’s how much I love avocados.
What I love about this recipe is that it is super simple and while it has a bunch of flavors, they are subtle and really let the creamy avocado be the star of the show.
Like they should be.
I have also fully realized that I should have posted this recipe and my Michelada recipe closer to the beginning of the month because of Cinco de Mayo.
Oh well, there I go being late again and a horrible food blogger.
Classic Guacamole
My all-time, favorite recipe for quick and simple guacamole made with fresh avocados, onions, lime juice, and cilantro.
Ingredients
- 3 avocados peeled & pitted
- 1 jalapeño minced
- 1/4 cup red onion finely diced
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and mash together until well-mixed and a few lumps are still visible.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
To Store: cover the bowl with plastic wrap so that the wrap is touching the guacamole and refrigerate.
