Long Island Apple Iced Tea

I don’t know what it is… but lately I have been obsessed with creating new cocktails.

Maybe it’s because I currently cannot enjoy them fully?

Does that happen to you? You aren’t able to eat or drink something and then suddenly that’s all you are craving?

Well, that’s how it is for me. Can’t drink = want all the drinks!!

So I made a fall inspired long island iced tea that I’m calling the Long Island Apple Iced Tea. Because it seriously tastes like apple juice.

Yes, this is fact.

Wait… how do I know what it tastes like if I cannot currently drink? Well, I can still taste test the recipe to make sure it’s not totally gross, that the flavor I was going for is there and it tastes great, and then I let my hubby drink the rest.

Even though I thought this drink, despite having multiple liquors in it, tasted just like apple juice… I still wanted a second opinion.

The hubby thoroughly enjoyed these and agreed that it did taste like apple juice and said they were even better than a regular long island iced tea.

Yes… score!

But don’t be fooled either, this apple long island is just as deadly as a regular long island so make sure you’re drinking responsibly… preferably at home so you don’t need to be getting in a car and driving anywhere.

You better believe come November that I will be enjoying a couple of these with my mom when she comes to visit. This, my Apple Gin Mule, and some mulled wine.

mmmmmm… one of the only reasons I look forward to fall, the drinks and food. haha
